Walk for the Epic Foundation

WALK: Help the Epic Foundation raise funds for projects and initiatives to support survivors of rape and abuse. There will be 50 000 walkers taking to the streets on the Sunday with three distances to be walked - 15km, 8km and 5km.

JOIN the Epic Foundation team this year as they raise funds for upcoming projects and initiatives by walking the MTN Walk the Talk on July 23, at Marks Park Sports Club.

The Epic Foundation manages various project and initiatives aimed at assisting victims of rape and abuse.

There will be 50 000 walkers taking to the streets that day with three distances to be walked – 15km, 8km and 5km.

To assist the foundation with fund-raising, the entry fee to join Epic Foundation’s team is R50 per person for the five to eight kilometres and R300 per person for the 15km (fee includes a T-shirt and other items from Epic Foundation).

You are welcome to increase your entry fee, provided the minimum is as stated above, and this will then be an additional donation. You can get corporates, family and friends to sponsor you per kilometre, in addition to the entry fee.

Deadline for registration to the team is May 25 and the final payment is to be made by Epic Foundation to the walk organisers by May 26. If you have already entered the Walk the Talk, unfortunately the organisers cannot refund you so that Epic Foundation can benefit.

Steps to follow to register on the Epic Foundation Team:

• Visit www.walkthetalk.co.za

• Select ‘enter now’.

• Select ‘join existing team’.

• Enter details as per the screens and select Epic Foundation.

• Log out at the last step, ’continue to payment’, as Epic Foundation will receive an email and will need to approve you as a walker.

• Make payment to the Epic Foundation: FNB, Alberton, branch code 250655 and account number 624130134840.

• Send proof of payment and your T-shirt size to info@epicfoundation.org.za

Walk the Talk will invoice the Epic Foundation for the total number of walkers registered in its team and pay the organiser directly on behalf of the team.
