*SA Military History Society, Johannesburg branch, will meet on August 12, at 20:00, with the first talk, ”The Novel East Africa campaign: Historians and historical novels”, by Anne Samson, and the main lecture, ”An overview of recent and current conflicts in Africa”, by Helmoed Roemer Heitman. The society holds meetings with lectures on the second Thursday of each month, at which a wide variety of topics of military historical interest are discussed. *Panorama Flea Market: Come and take a look at the new stores opening up at the flea market over the next few weeks. Enjoy the entertainment and relaxing trip out of the house. The market is situated just off Kliprivier Drive, in Mulbarton, and is the busiest flea market in the South, with almost 400 stalls. The market is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
