Big Street Collection for Alberton SPCA

SUPPORT: The event will take place on May 27.

THE SPCA’s Big Street Collection is taking place on May 27. Residents can support the SPCA either by donating as they drive past or volunteering to shake tins.

“We need as many volunteers as possible, so if you can help please email either [email protected] or [email protected]. Volunteers must be over 16 years of age.

“If you can only commit to an hour that’s fine, but we plan to be out from 10am until 1pm,” said Vanja Ingold, SPCA member.

Collection points will be advised closer to the day in the press and on Facebook.

“We hope to raise lots of money on the day to help us continue with our mission of caring for animals,” said Ingold.

“We do not receive any government funding and are totally reliant on the local community to support us.”
