Water drive for Cape Town

MALL of the South in conjunction with Gift of the Givers and the Johannesburg South community will be hosting a water drive to support and #Helpthyneighbour by providing a collection point at the mall.

This will allow shoppers, tenants, local community organisations, suppliers and residents to take part by donating bottled water, for human consumption, to help alleviate the Cape Town water crisis.

Water bottles must be sealed (the seal must not be broken). Five-litre bottles are required, and the Water King is selling water at a discounted rate of R10 per unit. The aim is to collect 102 tons of water (102 000 litres = 20 400 five-litre water bottles).

The drop-off location is at Mall of the South, ground level by Entrance 2, near centre management.

The #Helpthyneighbour water drive will run from March 1 to May 31. Day Zero has been postponed to June 4.

Which supplier/team can bring in the most number of water bottles for neighbour city Cape Town? Please support this worthy cause.
