WITH the June exams done and dusted, Bracken High school has determined the top academic achievers for the first half of the year.
Jaydon Harold is the academic leader for Grade Eight with an average of 88 per cent. Taylor Sheldon and Karabelo Sauhatse are tied for second with 83 per cent. The Grade Nine academic achievers are Recal Pillay with 81 per cent followed by Thandi Njokweni and Kajal Ramdheo with 80 per cent each.
In the FET phase Afua Gyebi is the leading Grade 10 scholar with an average of 85 per cent. The second spot is shared by Masego Moekoa and Nkem Nkosi with 79 per cent.
The top spot in Grade 11 is shared by Michael Baxter and Erin Francis who both achieved an average of 83 per cent. In third place in Grade 11 is Kelsey Abdrabu with 81 per cent. The matric learners are preparing for their final exams and leading up to their last push Alyssa Govender is third in the academic rankings with 77 per cent and in second place is Thenjiwe Khatle with 78 per cent. The current Dux Scholar for matric is Le-anne van der Meij with an impressive average of 86 per cent.
